The Basics

Yes. Completely. There is no registration fee, no monthly dues, no tournament surcharge, and no fundraising requirement. Training, travel, kits, nutrition, and recruiting support are all covered.

There isn't one. Umoja is funded entirely by corporate sponsors and community members who receive marketing value in return — the same way a company sponsors a stadium, or a professional jersey.

Scholarships often require families to apply and prove their financial need, and, at the end of the very personal process, it usually results in only partial coverage. The process creates a stigma, and parents still foot the bill. Umoja understands our place in our community. We're not a financial institution, we're a soccer team. Every player on our roster gets the same access and pays the same amount: zero. No questions asked.

No. Umoja Sports Coalition is a Georgia LLC. We chose this structure deliberately. Corporate sponsors deduct their investment as a business expense under IRC §162 — which is often more favorable than a charitable contribution. This isn't about tax receipts. It's about building a sustainable model that doesn't depend on fundraising cycles or donor fatigue.

Eligibility & Tryouts

No. We evaluate players based on what they show us at tryouts. Your ability to compete at an elite level is all that matters.

Yes — it's a core part of the program. Every player receives individualized support to connect them with college programs at the right level — from D1 through JUCO. Our staff works directly with college coaches on behalf of players throughout the process.

For Prospective Sponsors

Seamlessly integrated brand presence. A partnership built on branded content. Umoja creates photo and video featuring your brand in authentic youth soccer moments, with sponsors receiving full rights to repost on their own channels. Depending on your tier, sponsors also receive jersey placement, category exclusivity, tournament visibility, quarterly performance reports, and locked pricing for the first two years. Full tier details are in our Partner Deck. Request it here.

Umoja sponsorships are structured as marketing partnerships. Your company receives brand visibility, community presence, and authentic engagement with a premier youth sports program. Your investment is deductible as a business expense under IRC §162 — the same mechanism used for any advertising or marketing spend. For full details, request our Partner Deck.

It's not a donation at all. It's a business expense through IRC §162.
