05 Minors’ Privacy
Umoja SC works with youth athletes, some of whom may be under the age of 18 or under the age of 13.
Players under 13: We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 without verifiable parental consent. If you are under 13, please do not submit an interest form or any personal information through our Sites without a parent or guardian’s involvement. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without parental consent, we will delete that information promptly.
Players age 13–17: We encourage parents and guardians to review this Privacy Policy with their child before submitting any information through our Sites. By submitting an interest form on behalf of or together with a minor, a parent or guardian acknowledges this Privacy Policy.
Roster players who are minors: Players added to the Umoja SC roster who are under 18 will have their portal access and data collection acknowledged as part of the roster onboarding process, which will include parental or guardian consent where required.
For players under the age of 13 who are added to the Umoja SC roster, verifiable parental consent is obtained through our roster onboarding process, which includes a signed parental consent form prior to any data collection through the Player Portal. This consent covers the collection, use, and publication of the player's personal information and likeness as described in this policy and in our Media Release & Name, Image, and Likeness Authorization form.
If you believe a minor has submitted information without appropriate parental consent, please contact us immediately at the address below, and we will delete the information.
