Your player is selected on ability. Support is then applied to the actual cost of playing — program fee, travel, kit, lodging, meals and transport.
Placement comes first. A coach decides which team a player belongs on, and that conversation does not involve your finances at all. Support is applied afterwards, against the published price — and not as a discount off a registration fee, but against the real cost of playing: the program fee, required travel, the kit, lodging, meals and the ride to training.
Same coaches. Same kit. Same hotel, same meals. The only difference between two players at Umoja is who pays the bill, and nobody else in the club ever knows which is which.

Tick any that apply. If one does, you are done — we will not ask what you earn.
Everyone who lives in your home, and everyone's income before taxes added together.
Before taxes, everyone in the home.
Keep going — we will work it out as you type.
This is the program fee only. It does not include the $350 kit, which is bought once on a two-year cycle. And Umoja support reaches further than the fee — required travel, the kit, lodging, meals and the ride to training can all be covered on need. Assistance here is for the actual cost of playing, not a discount on registration. The figures above are the floor of what help looks like, not the ceiling.
This is an estimate, not a decision.
Every family's situation is different, and the numbers above do not know yours. If your income changed recently, if you are supporting relatives, if you have unusual expenses — tell us. Apply for a scholarship and we will look at your actual situation.
No child is turned away over money at Umoja. If the number above still does not work, apply anyway.

Your child made the team.
We’ve got you.
Support is applied by need against the published price. Nobody else in the club ever knows which families receive it.
Your player is placed on the team that fits them. That conversation happens first and does not involve your finances at all.
Free or reduced lunch, SNAP, Medicaid, WIC and several others qualify a family on their own. We ask to see the card or letter once and that is the end of it.
The calculator shows rough bands, but a real award is whatever a family’s situation calls for. Eighty-two percent is a perfectly normal answer.
Awards are reviewed each year, and sooner if something changes. A job lost in October does not have to wait until next season.
The calculator runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you typed was sent anywhere, stored, or attached to your name, and no account or email is required to use it.
When you do apply, we ask for what is needed to make an award and nothing more. No home visit, no interview about your spending, no proving hardship twice. And the word scholarship never appears on a roster, a receipt, or anything another family can see.
