The Umoja Circle

For the people who choose to go further.

Umoja Circle members make annual gifts of $5,000 or more to help ensure that a player’s opportunity is never determined by what their family can afford.

Monthly and recurring giving counts. Individuals and families join the Umoja Circle when their qualifying charitable gifts total $5,000 or more during the year — someone giving $500 a month joins once their annual total reaches it.

Eligibility is tracked on the calendar year, on individual and family charitable giving.

What the Circle makes possible

Gifts at this level absorb the gap.

Participation costs what it costs. Families can pay what they can pay. The difference between those two numbers is the whole problem, and major gifts are what let Umoja carry it without lowering the standard or turning a player away.

That gap shows up everywhere a season touches:

Circle gifts are unrestricted by default, which means they go wherever the need is largest in a given season rather than sitting against one line.

Inside the Circle

Closer to the club.

What members receive is access to how Umoja thinks and what it is building.

The Facebook group and the WhatsApp Community are where the Circle gets a closer, behind-the-scenes look at the club — photos and program updates, what Umoja is working on right now, milestones as they happen, the occasional question put to the room, and the context behind what your support is building. Conversation rather than another newsletter. Both are donor-only spaces.

You may always remain anonymous. Recognition is offered, never assumed.

Join the Umoja Circle

Give $5,000 or more today, or reach $5,000 in total charitable giving during the year.
Monthly and recurring gifts count toward your annual total.

A conversation is the right route for a restricted charitable purpose, a donor-advised fund, a gift of stock or property, or any other major-gift arrangement. Umoja can recognise support associated with a donor-advised fund; how recognition is handled is arranged case by case so that it stays consistent with DAF rules and our acknowledgment practices.
